The Health and Safety Event takes shape for 2005
Europe’s largest dedicated annual event for the Health & Safety sector, Safety & Health Expo makes its return to the NEC Birmingham from May 17-19 this year with emphasis on education and informing Health and Safety professionals on the key changes affecting their market.
With more exhibitors signed at this stage than ever before, the 2005 event will make a huge impact on the Health and Safety industry.
The event is supported by all major UK health and safety bodies including the health & Safety Executive (HSE), the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), the British Safety Industry Federation (BSIF) and the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
Throughout the three days candidates will be battling it out at the anticipated award ceremony for The Safety & Health Expo Product Innovation Award, sponsored by the BSIF at the NEC.
The Runway, sponsored by DuPont Personal Protection, gives the ladies another excuse to dress up as it provides live scenes presenting the latest health and safety products in context with their application.
A free seminar theatre is also open offering visitors a breather from the events outside. The theatre is dedicated solely to Asbestos-related issues, backed by the major asbestos bodies. Experts from across the industry line up in a programme of seminar sessions covering the entire process from detection to removal of asbestos.
This year’s RoSPA Congress, which runs alongside Safety and Health Expo, will focus on the increasingly high standards of health and safety now demanded of UK businesses. The congress will examine what is being done at a strategic level to promote health and safety as a key performance objective within the business.
Back due to high demand
After a successful event last year, the Access Industry Federation returns to safety & Health Expo. As well as running a conference programme alongside the exhibition they will launch a brand new feature area, ‘Access Live’. With backing from all the key industry organisations including National Scaffolding and Access Confederation (NASC), International Powered Access Federation (IPAF), prefabricated Access Suppliers’ and Manufacturers’ Association (PASMA), the new live demonstration area will focus on the latest developments in working at height.
The Norwich Union Risk Services Information Theatre returns to the event after its huge success last year. Leading experts present a programme of free seminar sessions covering a broad spectrum of health and safety issues such as insurance, web based training and legislation.
Event director, Chris Fountain believe this years event will impress its visitors once again, “Safety and Health Expo will deliver everything that the visitor needs to stay ahead in the health, safety and environmental field.”
“With new features and an improved series of seminar programmes, Safety and Health Expo remains Europe’s leading platform for health and safety.”
Safety and Health Expo runs from 17-19 May 2005 at NEC Birmingham. Free visitor pre-registration is available at www.safety-health-expo.co.uk. Companies interested in exhibiting at this years event should contact Tony Bond at email@example.com or +44 (0)207 921 8048.
